Growing up in Southern California, Gwen M. Plano loved learning, and she loved imagining stories, some grandly epic, all personal and heartfelt. Learning led her to San Diego State for a BA in Nutrition, then to New York for masters’ in theology and counseling and a doctorate in higher education from Columbia. She taught and served in university administrations across America and in Japan, then retired and focused again on her stories.
She started with Letting Go Into Perfect Love, a memoir recounting her violent marriage and how she learned to forgive the unforgivable, recover her sense of self, open her heart, and honor the journey home. Her interest shifted to thrillers, so she co-authored The Contract: between heaven and earth with award-winning author John W. Howell. The Choice: the unexpected heroes follows The Contract as the second installment in a planned trilogy, this time a solo effort. Gwen lives in the Midwest with her husband, traveling and writing, sharing those stories only she can imagine.
